I’m Mathew Brooks, founder of Ignite Coaching. For more than 15 years, I’ve served as a professional firefighter, where I’ve learned that success rarely comes from talent alone. It comes from preparation, discipline, and having someone beside you who can see what you can’t.
But the most important role I have isn’t firefighter or coach—it’s being a husband and a father.
Like many of the people I work with, I’ve experienced seasons of uncertainty, career transitions, leadership challenges, and the constant tension of trying to balance work, family, faith, and personal growth. I know what it feels like to want more—not more success for the sake of success, but a life that reflects your values and the person you’re called to become.
Those experiences have shaped the way I coach. Whether you’re pursuing a career in the fire service, building a business, or striving to become the husband, father, or leader you know you’re capable of being, my role is the same:
